CONFERENCES
Quickly, the only difference between being a Node and a HUB is
that you must have a .qwk compatable mail door for either your
PCBoard (Qmail4, CamMail, or Rnet Door) System
or WildCat! (TomCat Door, WCMail) System,
and a little time to help out the sysops that will be hubbing
off of you.
There inbound mail is sent right along with your board's mail
except that their messages will have a different tagline from
that of your board's messages.
When you set up a sysop for access to the net, you have to
assign them Net-Status in your mail door system. Once you do
that, there is virtually nothing else to do. Unless you want
to help them set up thier settings in your mail door, etc.
What we need from you, is a text file, which can be included
in our monthly US-xx-95.zip file, which has the information
about your board, and what you want them to do (process) in
order to get setup with you. Follow the examples that are
in the monthly file with the .HUB file extensions.
A HUB is also required to get FIVE of his fellow LOCAL
sysops involved in the net. This is usually fairly easy,
and they can run either PCBoard, WildCat!, TriTel, or any
other BBS system which has a .QWK compatible netmail
interface program (mail tosser).
HUBs are also required to call into either the World HUB
or a 1st level HUB off of the World HUB. This is to
prevent mail delivery time degredation. The most direct
and fastest mail transfers are when calling the World HUB
System located in Tampa, Florida. 28,800 V34
support only. Modem Number (813) 977-5600.
We are looking for at least 5-HUBs for each state, in the
next few months.
It requires of you alot of time initially, as you learn,
and periodic participation in the net yourself.
UsNetMail is 'the' easy-going net, and it is for the
purpose of sharing, enjoyment, education, help, and
meeting people from all walks of life!
Please let me know if you would like to become a HUB
and get involved in UsNetMail.
Thanks
Clif Ware
